I doubt anyone will pay. With all respect to the writers there, the paper is really a rag. I don't agree with editorial policy, or most of their content decisions. In short, I have no reason to read it. They basically skim over a few day-old news stories, so maybe it could be useful in the way that "headline news" is useful.
The internet - and by that I mean the thousands of instantly available news sources from around the world - have basically crushed print media like the CJ. But they were in decline long ago. RIP. Oh, they're not dead yet. But RIP anyway.
(last thought on the matter is that they should just put all of their eggs in one basket and focus entirely on local news. By getting rid of everything else, maybe (???) they can develop some in-depth and interesting content. But maybe I'm just a news snob. Google News is a great starting point, especially after you specialize it).
