I have a friend who played cello in her high school's marching band in Blytheville, Arkansas, back in the Jurassic Era. I am not kidding about this. She put in on an office chair with wheels and marched with the band. But one game, the band all went off in one direction and she went off in another, and that was the end of her marching band career.

I admit I get a bit defensive after fending off..."you are talking about YOUR nephew?" and "Billy's kid??" when this child was in 3rd grade I asked him where he wanted to go to college he told me Julliard or MIT...
