HDTV Antenna

by John S » Fri Dec 02, 2011 12:09 pm

I've finally decided to cancel my Insight cable, but would still like to get the broadcast stations that are available for free. Does anyone have an HDTV antenna that they use and like?

John, a friend of ours who's a broadcast engineer got us a free used one with no label, but it looks a lot like the antenna in this ad:

We put it in the attic, inside, pointed at a roof with a clear western view, which is close enough for comfort to all the regional TV stations on Floyds Knobs. They all come in brilliant and clear, actually better than cable. WBNA (I think) is the one station in a completely different direction, but the antenna is powerful enough that it gets a good picture, too.
