PRESS RELEASE

The Phoenix Hill Farmers' Market is having a Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 2 from 3 - 7 p.m. at 829 E. Market St. There will be cooking demonstrations by the Cooperative Extension Office, music, door prizes, refreshments, and other fun. Come pick out your pumpkins for Halloween, decorative gourds for your table, mums and pansies for planting, and pick up something for dinner while you're at it. Produce in season right now includes tomatoes, summer and winter squash, green beans, okra, beets... plus we have chicken, pork, beef, eggs, honey, salsa and other condiments, wine, kettlecorn, and cut flowers.
Come join the fun, support your local farmers, and eat healthy. "Kentucky Proud, nothing else is close."

It does look great! John why did they opt for a Tuesday event instead of a weekend?

Less competition plus...

Less competition plus it allows people to stop in leaving work. Also, since it is on a weekday afternoon, it is the only farmer’s market I know of that sells wine and beer… :D
