However, I say "eye" usually, unless I'm talking to a person who says "ah," i which case, being a linguistic chameleon, I tend to drop into it myself.

I say "ah." I remember going back to MI after living here for a few years, and all my friends made fun of my "funny" accent. Of course, now, they all sound so weird...I guess it's all relative!
