OK...So I should install AVG first...and then uninstall Norton ? Is that the process ? Wish you would have all thought to tell me this before I went out and spent $59 to upgrade my Norton subscription last week. :?

Avg let my 9 year old get a Facebook virus. I've since started switching my pc's to avast. Throw malwarebytes on there too and you are pretty safe.

If you are using firefox you can get and add-on to disable flash as you see fit.

I use chrome, and ad-block, and i rarely see ads. I turn off adblock on sites that I visit that need the revenue.

I think you'd want to uninstall Norton and then download AVG. My experience with Norton 3 or 4 years ago, is the Norton does not play well" with other AV programs.

Or you can buy a Mac and be done with it all.
There's a reason why Mac users love their Macs, we never have to worry about any of this.

I'd consider a Mac but virtually all the proprietary software my clients develop and use won't run on a Mac.

Agree with Bill P dtich Norton and come back with AVg or Avast either one will be better than Norton and won't slow you to a crawl
