Christmas light installation?

by Sara R » Thu Nov 11, 2010 1:22 pm

My husband and I are interested in having some Christmas lights hung on the exterior of our Highlands area home. Anyone know of a good company? I saw one company had a $600 minimum, which is a bit steep. We aren't looking for anything too involved, just some straight lines of lights.

Thanks!

It you already own the lights, you might consider looking on Craigslist for the plethora of handy-man posts about guys that will do just about anything around the house. I'd bet you could find somebody to do it for $20/hour or so.

Not to jack the thread but just a quick reminder that those of you putting up the usual, run-of-the-mill Christmas lights please be very careful. Those coated green wires still have an unhealthy amount of lead in them (especially those made in China). Use gloves when hanging them or at least wash your hands well afterwards. Pregnant ladies shouldn't handle them at all. Pregnant gentlemen can use discretion.

In my paperbox yesterday, a really cool snowman doorhanger, compliments of a xmas light service. I have not used these folks-- but I give them kudos for a great piece of marketing.

You might also ask your local hardware store, or I would imagine St Matthews Feed & Seed might know of someone. HOpe this helps! Happy Lighting. :D

I'll do it for $300 and a bottle of good Bourbon...Bourbon "up front".
