Doctors in the Highlands

by Alanna H » Sat Jul 28, 2007 11:20 pm

Looking for a new family doctor (internist or general practitioner) in the Highlands or east downtown. Preferably female, but not absolutely necessary. My previous doctor is just too far out and is getting older so I'd like to find someone younger, closer to home.
Also looking for pediatricians in the area if there are any recommendations.

Alanna,
As far as pediatricians go..... Roth, Barron, Katz, lehocky, Abrams, and Newstadt are the folks that we use. We go to Newstadt.

They are behind the Colonel Quick (shopping center) on Bardstown Road
(Buechel). I travel from brownsboro and the watterson to get to them, they are worth the trip. Great group of Docs. 452-6337

Dr. Jill Watson (internist/GP) is really good. She was at Audubon, but I received a postcard indicating that she has switched offices (I've since lost the card). You can probably do a look up in the phone book and find her.

For pediatricians we switched to East Louisville Pediatrics (on Westport by hubbards lane) , and absolutely love it, both for our toddler and our
teenager.

Rex Laegerstrom is at Norton's Audubon. He is an EXCELLENT primary care physician.

I've been going to Terry Weiss at Deer Park Family Doctors for a couple of years now, and she is hands down my favorite doctor ever.

She is in practice with another woman there, and I've heard good things about her as well.
