Louisville Weather trivia

OK...So it was hot this summer ("How hot was it..."). This hot: On average Louisville has 31 days of 90 degree (or above) weather. With parts of the 'Ville reporting 90 degrees today that makes for a total of SEVENTY FIVE (75) days above 90 degrees this year. WHOA !

If that wasn't enough, I've seen 4 "Wooly Worm" caterpillars so far this year...and as most older (and thus more knowledgeable) Americans know, the more black and the less brown on a Wolly Worm indicates a more severe winter. ALL of the Wolly Worms I've seen this year have been completely Black. NOT a good "sign".

All the wooly worms I've seen have sunburn lines around where their sweaters ends.

Great, that means all the "where's the global warming now?" people will be out in force.

On the one hand, that's going to drive me up a wall. On the other hand, it will give me a confidence boast knowing I'm not the dullest tool in the shed.
