I stopped at the Hurstbourne ValuMarket today and happened upon their 12 hour meat sale.

Sale ends 8 p.m. Thursday 8/12/10, and ad says Hurstbourne store only.

A few of the items:
Boneless/skinless chicken breast $1.99 lb.
Whole beef ribeye cryovac $4.99 lb.
Whole pork loin cryovac $1.49 lb.
Beef chuck roast or steaks $2.29 lb.
Mahi Mahi fillets $3.99 lb.
Tilapia fillets $3.99 lb.
Cod Loins $3.99 lb.
Atlantic salmon fillets $7.99 lb.
NY strip steaks $6.99 lb.
Western style pork ribs or pork steaks $1.19 lb.
Ball park franks 10 for $10
Kentucky roma tomatoes .79 lb.
Kentucky seeded watermelon $2 each
Kentucky yellow zucchini or profit squash .79 lb

So you want me to type the whole ad? Baby backs are $2.99 lb and I remember seeing Boston Butts but can't remember the price. Actually, I remember seeing a LOT of Boston Butts when we lived on the east coast, but that's a story for another day.

I have to admit that I really like what they call the western style or country ribs. I'm not a grillin' commmonseur like yourself, but I like them cooked slowly with a dry rub. Best part is they're cheap.
