Seems familiar, only more intense. For a long time I've thought of Louisville (or at least the Blue Zones) as "Portland Lite."

Similar size city, got a river and some bridges, lots of trees, lots of parks, strong indie music and art culture, lots of local eateries. On the other hand, at the end of the day we're in Kentucky. :oops:

I might have been to Portland in the 70's...I'm not sure. Just based in what I've seen on TV, in magazines, etc over the last few years, I would guess the "Goofball" factor in Portland is way-WAY above ours. I attribute that primarily to their proximity to the state of California.
