While we are on the subject of computers...

Who has 200' of Cat 6, a couple RJ-45 conectors, and a crimper handy?

This is the 21st century, you can steal your neighbors internet connection wirelessly now.

Not when you are surrounded by lawyers with MilSpec passwords. :D

This is for work, we don't receive our wifi back in the brewery. I'm "extending" our wifi service by running a line from the LAN outlet on our router at the bar to an Airport Express in the brewery. This will also give us a wireless shared printer and wireless music via iTunes Air. I have 50' of CAT 6, need 200' to get it done and am too cheap to buy.

I have a friend that has it, but not for free. He is willing to trade(beer and food) for it.

Wow... Free Enterprise at its best... could probably talk the lawyers into letting you use their wireless for an ale or two a month.

So how many pints does 160' with two ends crimped on go for?

200' of wire runs $50 plus shipping plus $3-4 for the ends.

I'm thinking a $50 Bank Street gift card would do it.

I could have it a 13th and Market in Louisville tomorrow.

Sounds perfect. 200' with two ends via internet = $49.00 plus UPS. Are you the friend and what is located at 13th and Market?

I'm not the friend. He works in the security/controls industry.

13th and Market is where I work.

I thought I had 300' left in a 1000' spool from our construction. Wrong.
