Deer crashes through Fresh Market window, runs around store
THE COURIER-JOURNAL • JUNE 1, 2010

A buck deer leapt through a plate glass window of a Fresh Market store near Middletown on Tuesday and remained in the store for 10 minutes before being tased by Louisville Metro Police and dragged outside the store.

Rest of the store:

Please choose one:

  • Obviously miffed because those evergreens outside aren't really organic
  • Brings a whole new meaning to the term "free range"
  • Don't tase me bro'

Try the veal - I'll be here all week.

So we find this out while enjoying BoomBozz at Westport Village and what is the first thing Richard says? "It better not have messed up my fish!!" I broke out laughing while trying to tell him I doubted the deer would eat his fish. Geez, and he thinks I am obsessed with my job! NO venison special today, damage repaired, deer not sighted since. I'd say it was a shocking experience (for the deer), but I really don't want to dodge the tomatoes!!

Seriuosly... where the heck did it come from? I can't remember any real stand of woods nearby that are large enough to support deer. Did it cross Shelbyville Rd?

I heard a neighbor nearby has a herd of blind deer. When asked if it was possibly one of his herd, he replied...I have no eye deer.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.
