Indeed! (that's why I mentioned "balance sheet" - you can imagine me pouring through a state-produced spreadsheet looking for good news ...)

Just got done reading it...What a HILL of beans...actually the best part are the comments that people made to his story......I think the other side of this issue is getting out very fast and even the Mayor today was scolding the medi for not covering the library issue in a positive way...another words his way....Remember Jerry new libraries with no increase in taxes....Remember Jerry...Whay happened to that....

For once in my life, I'd like a republican to surprise me. Just once.

Are you referring to Republicans' traditional wariness of tax increases? It seems to me, though, that the library tax issue cuts across the Republican/Democrat stereotypes. I've heard from Dems against it and Repubs for it and vice versa.

LOL. That was said tongue in cheek Jay, but as soon as I typed it I thought to myself that you would be the first to respond!

(The issue really does cut across politcal lines, though.)

I think that people are begining to know the TRUE facts about this library tax...We have three homes in our area that have removed there support signs from there yard....One home did not and have painted a slash through the sign with the word NO. Joe WElliot on WHAS has been getting the word out that the Library side does not want you to know.....and the Francine show on monday will also talk about it and she is not in favor of it. The local paper has no clue and does the Leo...But at least the Leo talks about both sides of the issue. .

Robert,

I and many others have been going around to groups for the last three months or more telling people the true facts and answering every question anyone wants to ask. I'm not sure what facts you think we don't want people to know. You may disagree with the Courier, the Leo, GLI, the mayor, the majority of metro council, some of this city's most admired business leaders and many other people on this issue, but that certainly doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about.
