I agree. You would think that they would want to keep the paper's strongest asset and let go of its weakest. However, they did just the opposite by keeping the Publisher, Pam Brooks, and letting Cary go.

I must concur...

I know Cary personally, and as a Hoosier myself that used to look from afar on several issues that Most of the time didn't apply to me(or so I think) I will definitely miss the style and tone of the LEO without his guiding presence.
