Time to bump this up for our #3 seeded CARDS.

Anyone else out there excited about MARCH MADNESS?

BTW, our ladies received their best ever seeding at #4. Go Angel and all the rest. Coach Walz is a real keeper.

Doogy-
I'm the lone Cards fan in a family of Cat fans but I have to admit that watching you get excited over the games is as much fun (well, almost) as watching the games.
GO CARDS.... forever!

Cards punctuate blowout of Broncos with big jams, 3-pointers

by Doogy R » Sat Mar 22, 2008 1:15 am

A scramble, a steal and suddenly Louisville had a three-on-none break that Derrick Caracter finished off with a vicious dunk.

Wait! I missed out on that rule? Is it engraved inside the dome of the old Admin Building? Or in the Thinker's roll-holding hand?

I don't mind when U of L wins, but to be honest, just because we're better at hiring tall kids from Trenton to entertain us for a few years than UK is, what does that really say about the university or the city it's in?

I would guess the coaching matters too, and I wouldn't short-change the "hiring" process. Knowing how to find talent is a talent in and of itself.

Louisville overwhelms Kansas St.

Louisville overwhelms Kansas St. on both ends, advances to Sweet 16.

They seem to get better as the season progresses. Gotta love that.

Here is a link to the team's roster. I don't see Trenton mentioned anywhere. :D

Derrick Caracter and Earl Clark are within 50 miles of Trenton .. pretty close.

But since we all know that U of L and the surrounding schools are pure as the driven snow, that means there is no problem.

I am a U of L fan and will also be pulling for Western tonight.

Fall Of The Vols

by Doogy R » Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:54 am

Louisville's suffocating defense has coach Rick Pitino a step away from a sixth trip to the Final Four.

Pitino, who has won two NCAA titles and has taken three schools to the Final Four, has Louisville playing its best basketball of the season when it counts most.

It left the Cardinals looking ahead to Saturday's game against North Carolina, the toughest test yet for its vaunted defense. The Tar Heels will also be playing a virtual home game just over two hours from its Chapel Hill campus.

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=284000060

Louisville’s defense stops Tennessee 79-60, Pitino steps closer to Final Four.

It was what Rick Pitino loves: down and dirty defense, floor burns and hustle, and it’s left the Cardinals’ coach a victory away from a sixth trip to the Final Four.

Cards pound Vols; advance to Elite 8.

They are actually from closer to NYC, but who on this forum picks nits, right?

And yes, I was ardently rooting for the Toppers and thought they represented themselves quite well this evening.
