It most certainly IS about food.

Cream pies, rotten tomatoes and the like.

And, it's also about alcoholic beverages, as with Hemingway's quote:

"The bottle becomes a sovereign means of direct action. If you cannot throw it, at least you can always drink out of it."

It's in David's old restaurant space, yes? I think that's fairly interesting.

Imagining the black clad secret service men hunkering down where once I enjoyed wonderful beef and hoppy ale ... I feel violated (rather like the Constitution during the Bush regime, come to think about it).

Def. Bush Derangement Syndrome - Acting as a Citizen rather than a subject.

I hope this disease spreads, and fast.

BDS: when easily brainwashed individuals hate to a passion a likable, if mildly mediocre, president.

Aren't "likable" people usually well-liked?

Our president would have to go up a lot of notches to get close to mediocre.

I don't for one second believe that this "likeable, if mildly mediocre" oaf is responsible for the terrible state of the union. I blame those who are or were actually running the country while he was napping in a puddle of drool: Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Rove.

Ron, and I quote,

Isn't cool how Cheney could do that without moving his lips?

Tuesday, Nov. 13th at 1:15pm, George W. Bush will "speak about the economy," at The Grand Hotel, on Market St. between Pearl & Bank Streets, in New Albany, Indiana.

Join the Protest Against Bush, 12:15 - 2:00pm
on the north side of Market St., as close to The Grand Hotel as possible.
From Louisville: take the Sherman Minton Bridge to the first New Albany exit, you'll be on Elm St.
Take Elm to the 2nd light and turn right on State St., go two blocks south to Market St., turn left.
The Grand in on the south side of Market, about 1 1/2 blocks from State St., so park wherever you can.

Bring signs and drums, bells, and whistles.

I have been told by a pretty reliable source (my bride who owns the bakery adjacent to the Grand on Market St.) that people are not going to be allowed to "loiter" anywhere near the Grand. So.........if your travelling to glamourous New Albany today to heap praise (or anything else) on our chief executive, you will likely be shunted into the hinterlands which is where I will be, hopefully with a Bob's 15b in hand. To keep it food related.......my bride makes great pies but it's a long toss from across the street!

Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is an exceptionally inane remark even for you, Robert, don't you work for the government?
