If you buy a lot of meat at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus card, your purchases get tracked. Eventually, they begin to send you meat and produce coupons that are specific for the store.

Thanks, Jessica. We have gotten those before, but it seems like they only come about once a year. I often use my Kroger card, which still has my old (pre-marriage) address/info attached to it, so I should probably change that. Just never think about it.

You can actually change your address online, if you wish. Just have your card handy (and you may need your old phone number from when you originally got the card).

I used to really dislike the targeted ads and tracking my purchases, but now I don't really care. They can't make me buy anything I don't want to, and I do like the occasional packets of coupons with stuff advertised that I'll actually use!

Brian,

I started drinking cheaper beer...and as soon as football season is over I'm giving up snack foods.

I drink cheap beer rarely, if I go cheap I go very cheap like Old Milwaukee which I would prefer over most mass market lagers. Being frugal is different than being cheap. Even if I had a lot more money than I needed (which I don't) I still don't think I would throw it away on needless purchases or be excessive. However I go with quality with things I love like coffee and beer and eating at quality restaurants. If I need to buy a product, tool, household items, etc I tend to buy quality also.

Go to Kroger and buy frozen turkeys. They have em for .69 a lb this week. I got 3 big turkeys for like $8.00 each.
