I am a little embarrassed to say I have a blog already at Xanga, under the name Pumpernickel Rye (http://www.xanga.com/pumpernickel_rye) . I joined it on the spur of the moment one day when my sister sent me an email telling me to check out one of my nephew's blogs there, and I got carried away reading and then wanted to respond to his post. The only way I could do that was to join, and voila! My own blog. Although it felt a little goofy at first, I ended up using it as a sort of online journal and a place to upload photos and to keep in touch with family and very close friends.

And then a friend from New Orleans insisted I join My Space to keep up with him, and jeesh. So although I'm not sure I'll actually engage on Face book, I'll check it out.

I understand, Colleen ... so much to do, so little time! As I keep saying, I don't see the Facebook group taking over from this forum at all ... just an extra foodie hangout for Facebook addicts, and maybe a way to lure a few more folks into this forum.

For those who don't do Facebook, if anything of particular interest pops up on the Facebook group, we'll make it a practice to copy the details over here anyway. :)
