They couldn't have been inside for 5 minutes because they arrived after I did and parked in front of me. The front 1/2 of their car was in front of the telephone pole with the no parking sign, the back 1/2 of their car was behind it in the "legal" zone. In the time it took to get my mocha, they had gotten a ticket.
Is parking enforcement reading the forum?!?!

Hey, we were IN Heine's this morning, but didn't see that. (It's an easy walk for us, so we go up often for the exercise, that's it, the exercise!

I will say this - it's not so much Heine's, but there's a lot of really bad parking around that corner of Frankfort and Bayly, where what appear mostly to be customers of Carmichael's and that little junk shop behind it totally ignore the no-parking signs all the time. On Frankfort, it's a problem for the buses, which then have to stop in the main driving lane and hold up traffic. On Bayly, it's even worse, because it's not possible for two-way traffic to flow through the intersection when people park up to the corner. Frankly, I'm sorry for your friend, but I wouldn't mind seeing enforcement teach some of those people the lesson that "No Parking" does not mean "No Parking Except For You."
Harrumph!
