So, did you actually visit them? You also said you missed them. Have they been around longer than I know about? Anyone coming out this way, let me know. We can at least hook up and meet. I love meeting folks from the forum.

I don't know if it's the same family, Doogy, but when Mary and I lived out in the East End (near Ballard) back in the '80s, there was *a* family farm stand at that location. I've assumed from your posts that it's the same family or their descendants, but that's just a guess. Next visitor ought to ask them ... if they're old-timers, I'll bet they would love to talk about the history of their location.

That place is right next to where my MIL lives. They have the most beautiful mums in the fall. Huge and full of flowers and they sell the giant containers for only $20!! A much better deal than I've ever found elsewhere. My husband buys me a pot each fall :D

The hubby and I may stop by later, as my supply of juicy homegrowns has been depleted. Plus, the corn and melons looked delicious.

I was there tonight and procured maters, taters, squash, peaches, onion and a huge cantaloupe. They had huger cantaloupe but they were a bit too ripe. The one I chose was perfect. Sherman told me a few folks came by and had mentioned they had seen my previous post on LHB. I am glad some good folk have visited my fave farmers market. If anyone from here visits that market, please make sure to let them know you came from LHB. Sherman and Sheila love it.

Doogy,

Fyi....You can load your photos onto Flickr.com and provide links to them. I share a lot of photos with friends this way.

I can vouch for the cantalope- I got one there two weeks ago and it was one of the best I've had.
