Gardening and heirloom tomatoes August 2nd

St. Matthews Farmer's Market - 8:00 AM to 12 Noon every Saturday @ Beargrass Christian Church parking lot

Saturday August 2nd – Green Thumb Saturday and the 1st Annual Heirloom Tomato Tasting

Peggy Campbell, a Kentucky Master Gardener from the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service,
will be available to answer any question about gardening.

Try some of the heirloom tomato varieties sold at the market this Saturday morning.
An Heirloom Tomato Tasting will take place from 10 - 11 AM or until the samples are gone.
An informal voting of favorites will be held so come and find which varieties you like the best.

Cool... I can actually buy some stuff without being part of a popularity contest!

The Bardstown Rd. Market is not really all that it's cracked up to be...

It seems to be more of a place to see and be seen...

There are a lot of silly people asking silly questions and not buying anything and getting in the way of those of us who are looking for certain things that are in the peak of season...

Also, I feel some of the vendors themseves have gottten a little out of hand because they figure thay can sell anything at any price to most who frequent this market.....

I can't wait to see what you have next week!!!!

This is a week overdue, and I apologize.

I want to thank ALL the forumites who came out tho the St. Matthews Market LAST weekend and stopped by our booth to say hello, and enjoy a wrap. Hope we didn't disappoint.

Due to short hands, we were unable to be there this past Saturday, but plan to be there with bells on this coming Sat. the 9th.

Hope to see you there!
