You picked a funny guy to ask that question. Shawn IS building a great reputation for serving quality product at his local, independently owned eatery.

i think Doogy has come out to the pizza company (i could be mistaken, i've been known to forget a face and a name or three)

trying to do my best and serve a quality product for a fair price in a comfortable and enlightening atmosphere

not cutting corners, but we did raise our prices a little

and we're not perfect by any means, but we try to treat our guests like human beings and not like dollar signs

(thanks Robin)

I hear you Shawn....

I actually worked at the very first Papa John's when it was in the back of Mick's Lounge about 27 years ago....

Funny side story, I used to have to go to the Gateway and buy all of the cheapest oleo that they had in stock to make the now "infamous" Garlic Butter........

I also worked at "Rodger's Beer Kingdom" when it was an outpost of Noble Romans.....

I do know a few things about a proper pie!!!!!

Sooner or later my travels will bring me out that way!!!!!!

I look forward to enjoing a hand crafted pizza....

I have to admit, I went to an A&W inside a LJS about 2 weeks ago. I went for the draft root beer. We had burgers and fries and a pint. While the burgers and fries were nothing to write home about, the root beer is still the best ever, at least in my opinion. I have purchased the suds in bottle and can forms, but it is never the same as from the tap. I seldom get to go out to eat due to economic reasons, and I don't like going to the chains on such few occasions, but if you know of someone that makes a great root beer and isn't in a chain, I would be glad to take the family there and dine.

NABC serves Sprecher root beer on draft every day

Sprecher and Abita are my "go to" root beers
and both can be had in kegs in this area

Shawn,

Thanks for the info. Now I have a new place to try to quench my root beer fix. If I'm not mistaken that is also the place to try some of the local alcoholic beer as well. I need to make the trip. BTW, do you have any root beer on tap up there in Charlestown? I get up that way once every two months or so, would love to drop by for a good pie and some root beer or other beer.

Never had Abita root beer does it have syrup or HFCS in it?

I wish someplace around here would get Bulldog Root Beer on tap. Unfortunately the only place to even get it in bottles on this side of the Rockies is purchasing it from World Market.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

A couple of summers ago, they had a special, tiny little bite-size fried corn dogs. I have to admit it, they were addictive. If they still have them, I could probably eat a whole bag right now.
