OK. Believe it or not. There are still some subtleties that are not covered in the above scenario...........My comments after each point.
OK...so let me see if I've got this right.
In Olham Co. I can be out cutting the grass, work up a sweat and then quickly run down to the 7-11 store and pick up a cold six pack. (Unless something has changed recently, you can't buy package beer in Oldham Co. - exceptions being LaGrange & Crestwood. Cross the line back into Jefferson at Prospect Center & you can buy beer, liquor & wine. Although I just conferred with my husband & his friend who are sitting in our kitchen drinking & there was some thought that perhaps you can now buy beer in Oldham Co. You can definitely buy it at restaurants that meet the myserious criteria)
After I'm done with the yard and get cleaned up we can drive into La Grange for a bite to eat at the Irish Rover Two...where I can enjoy a beer or cocktail (or both). Then since we've got people coming over that night, Becky...being the designated driver can drive the two of us down to Springhurst to the Liquor Barn where we can buy anything except cold wine... (You can buy cold wine in Jefferson Co.)
So we take all this stuff home to the party but around 11:50pm we realize we are out of beer...So we run (walk...OK stumble) back down to the 7-11 but we CAN'T buy cold beer because it's now 12:01am on Sunday. (Nope. No beer or anything available after 9pm on Sunday. Some stores don't even stay open that late. It just depends upon the store. And you cannot buy any booze (beer, wine, liquor) before 1pm on Sunday. I don't think you can get any package sales in Oldham Co. on Sunday but I could be wrong.)
So now we're in a real pickle because it's Sunday...the big game is on and we have no beer. So we pile in the car and drive to Indiana where we can buy cold beer and hot wine. (In Indiana, I'm not so sure about this. Also, you cannot buy cold beer...or anything else cold...within a certain number of miles of the interstate...and everything is within a certain number of miles of the interstate).
