Gotta to be loving it even more now.

Amazing. I worked in the basketball office back in the day. Bring on Kansas.

Like a lot of situation, I can see why someone would feel like it would be great "for all that money to go to something that really matters." We spend way too much money on sports. But it's not like the money would go to academics if it didn't go to sports.

If by "strength", you mean "wealth", then you would be correct. But, I don't think that it'ssomething that causes a school to improvce academically. UL is the most profitable program in college basketball, but the school has not improved academically. If anything, the school is not as good as it was 40 years ago.

Ron, because I don't truly know, I'm not going to argue whether or not "the school is not as good as it was 40 years ago". However, when a statement like that is made is it not normal to provide some kind of proof to back it up? That is a fairly broad generalization to be bandying around with nothing in support. I'd be interested in seeing some actual facts that would provide that support. I would be willing to venture that some of the schools at UofL are not as good as they used to be and that others are doing much better. As for the overall education one might receive at UofL, I don't know.
