Shipwrecked at Actors Theatre

by Sherry Deatrick » Sat Feb 14, 2009 1:17 am

If you enjoy theater, don't miss "Shipwrecked!" I saw it last week and have to say it's one of the best shows I've see this season. It will take you on a journey halfway around the world -- I laughed...I cried...makes you think about the nature of truth and our need for storytellers. I felt like I was in Plato's cave, with the shadow puppets. The sound effects are perfectly done by ATL apprentices. And the actors are great -- especially the man who plays Louis de Rougemont...he's a Shakespearean actor from Canada and i can't recall his name, but he is riveting.

It is a fun show, Sherry. 90 minute one-act with one of the most enjoyable last five minute segments of any play of its type. Go see it!

A great show. I didn't even require a single elbow from Sandy to stay awake.

I didn't realize it was based on a real situation until the next day.
