From Diane Heilenman's CJ blog:
Yale show tickets reduced
Tickets to the great Yale University show of Americana at the Speed Art Museum have been reduced. They are now $5 instead of $7 for members and $10 instead of $15 for non-members. If you have not been, go. It is not just all old stuff, although there is some fabulous stuff from storied names, like Paul Revere (Yes, the real cartoonist, silversmith and night rider). The goodies run well into the late 19th century with an unbelievable photograph of the moon's surface in 1864 and a very amusing Eadweard Muybridge bit of, we hope, unintentional misogyny with his motion study of a woman dressed in a diaphonous toga throwing a ball most apathetically, as we used to say, "like a girl."
