THIS...is Louisville

Postby Maggie H » Tue Oct 18, 2011 12:34 pm

With the help of a few of my photography friends I'm am starting a
photo magazine in Louisville called "THIS...is Louisville." It's a
documentary style magazine covering all the interesting people,
places, and stories in Louisville. We believe in the idea that
everyone has a story to tell...and we want to be their voice.

We will be featuring people from all walks of life in documentary
style photography and producing a 36+ page black and white magazine of
the images. The magazine will be free and distributed all around the
city. This is where I need your help!

I have started a Kickstarter to help get the project rolling. We are
asking for $3,500.00 to cover the costs of printing the 3000 issues.
The way Kickstarter works is that unless the full $3,500.00 is funded
by Nov. 28th at noon then NONE of the money goes to the project.
There are some pretty amazing prizes to contributors and any donation
you make to the magazine will be greatly appreciated. Please tell
your friends and feel free to post it on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you so much!

Today we are at $2,745 with 9 days left. If you can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar helps and there are cool rewards for different levels of contribution! If you're not in a financial position to contribute, times are tough, I totally understand, then please pass this on to a friend or post it on your Facebook. I really appreciate you taking the time to read all of this.

Thank you so much! Now on to advertising so we can sustain our idea. If anyone's interested the ad space is relatively cheap. We are also going to try to distribute to as much of Louisville as possible, so if you (or someone you know) owns a restaurant, boutique, or other local business and would like to have a stack of the magazines please let me know. thisislouisville@gmail.com
