Thinking of trying Korean food for the first time tonight. Where's the best place to go?

Yea, it looks like we're between Koreana and Lee's. Sounds like we can't go wrong with either place.

Correct, both have excellent Korean fare. Lee's may be a bit more comfortable for non-Korean speakers, but you'll be entirely welcome at Koreana II, just be prepared for some language barrier and menu-pointing. If you're adventurous, it's no problem, but you may not be able to get clear answers to menu and food questions.

I go to both. They are very different from each other and each is better and worse in different aspects. Either way, you can't go wrong.

A couple of additional options...

Choi's Market on Lyndon Lane has a small Lunch counter in the back that serves all Korean food. It's a very limited menu and they close fairly early, but I always enjoy it. IT also has the benefit of being very inexpensive.

Also, Shah's Mongolian Grill in the shopping center at the corner of Hurstbourne and and Taylorsville Road has a menu that is almost exclusively Korean, if you pass on the grill option. And the entree portions easily feed two.

I go to Choi's on occasion, but there is no seating and the hours can be sketchy. The spicy ramen is awesome. All the food is super fresh because it is located in the back of the grocery.

Side note: I was there on wednesday and they had live crabs.

I was just thinking about Kim's last week and how much I miss them. With Kim's a Melillo's gone I have 2 cravings I just can't satisfy.
