Easter Brunch at Selena's

by Bill Veneman » Sun Apr 04, 2010 6:01 pm

Well, you never know who you will run into when you go to Easter Brunch.......

Alan and I arrived for our 2:00 seating, and who should Alan run into on a smoke run but Richard M and Suzi B. So nice to see them. Then, Will Crawford and his lovely bride are in the buffet line. Was a nice surprise because it has been more years that I care to remember since I last laid eyes on him. Chris G. and company made us feel very welcome. Macy, our delightful server was a joy and ensured every wish was granted post haste!

I tip my hat to Chris G. and staff for an incredable and delectable spread of standards, with some lovely twists. Their efforts both prior to and during service very evident. I must confess, I ate too much, and enjoyed my Bloody Mary very much. I know they only do the brunch buffet for only special occasions, and look forward to the next itteration.

If I had to choose a favorite.....well, it would be two.....the Au Graten potatoes were devine, as was the Bread Pudding.

I'm definatly not planning a dinner menu this evening!

We also had brunch at Selena's today and definitely agree. Everything was organized and ran very smoothly. Of course the food as usual was excellent. While it's hard to say what was our favorite item we definitely put a hurting on the beignets! Chris also went out of his way to bring us each a piece of the special dessert his wife made for today, I wish I knew what it was called.

Gayle>>>>well, after one of those Bloody Mary's, it's a wonder I could find the keys on the keyboard!

Mark>>>>glad you all went, too. It's a cool place.

Steve>>>>Very much so. Beautiful day, wonderful venue, good crowd......

Although we scheduled other dining plans for Easter, we've had Mothers' Day brunch at Selena's and they do an excellent job...lots of menu variety and the staff keeps it all flowing smoothly. 8)

It was a very nice brunch. It was nice to meet the great folks at Salena's and we look forward to returning for a dinner some evening. Good to see Bill and meet Alan.
