'Dart' Don died Thursday

by Ellen P » Sat Mar 27, 2010 9:48 am

'Dart' Don had been ill for some time. You might have seen the sign outside the BBC.
We would see him at BBC St. Matthews out on the smoking deck, at NABC in the Pub, and at Sergio's when it was in Shelbyville. Our first visit there, Don, Betty, and Tony were there, Sergio ran out with a catering order, so Don got our beers for us.
Lots of good beer consumed and lots of good talk.
He will be missed.

Don frequented the Public House on Saturday afternoons, and just last week, aware that the end was near, he donated his beer bottle collection for use in Leticia Bajuyo's New Albany Bicentennial Public Art project sculpture. He was a friend to beer, and I'll miss him very much.

I had no idea he was ill and find this to be horrible news. He was a sweet and special man and I will remember him forever.

Don was my cousin and I knew he loved darts and beer, but I did not know that he had touched so may others. Thanks for your kind words. He will be missed by us all.
When in doubt, add more wine.

Don was the first "local" we met when we moved to L'ville. Bent elbows with him at BBC on more than one occasion...Great guy, lots of fun. Sorry to hear of his passing.
