Not I, but it sounds like fun. Is it Fridays?

Yes, it seems like they have one most Fridays, and an occasional chicken fry other times. We had a few reports from fish frys from the beginning on the Lenten season, but no reviews in the last few weeks. I am looking for something around Hike's Point. There's one at St. Barnabas, too, if someone has a review?

Robin - Have you had a chance to try St. Mark's? Since it's in the 'hood, wife and I walked there two Fridays ago and, unfortunately, were very much underwhelmed.

I've been to St. Mark's a couple of times, Mike. We liked it okay. I thought the fish portions were a little undersized for the bread (got 'em on rye), but seemed to be hot and crisp and competently fried. I didn't really review it, but am probably predisposed to like the place because I know the priests and seminarian there pretty well.

Reviews of fish frys

by Ginger Harris » Mon Mar 22, 2010 6:52 am

Well, we got carryout from the Elks Lodge. The fish was good, the sides not so much. On Saturday we went to the Suburban Social Lodge. Again, the fish was good, the sides not so much.
