St. Paddy's Day donuts or cupcakes?

by Adam Smith » Tue Mar 16, 2010 11:44 am

Anyone know who has 'em? I figure Krispy Kreme will have green sprinkled cupcakes but I was looking for something a little less mass produced and possibly personalized; my dad's birthday is tomorrow! Maybe someone I can call today to have decorate for St. Paddy's day and his birthday?

AM, any personal favorites? I remember trying Heitzman's and The Bakery and being none too impressed...

Nord's on Preston (north of Eastern Pkwy). Local, long-standing, and always good. Not sure what type of specials they would be having, but I'm sure they would be willing to work with you.

Bakeries, though, are neighborhood things. Nord's is about a mile from my place. If I lived somewhere else, I'd probably find the right balance between neighborhood and quality. Luckily for me, Nord's is top-notch and close.

What's your neighborhood and/or where will you be taking these goodies?

I'm in Buechel and I'll be taking them to the Kinsgley/Strathmoor area, the neighborhood behind Air Devil's Inn to be exact. I work 3rd shift in Middletown so anything out that way or along 64 to the Watterson would be on my way home tomorrow morning.

If nothing else I'll just drive into Fern Creek and get some donuts from Sugar and Spice, which is always good IMO.

And thanks guys!

Can't go wrong with Krispy Kreme! You're also not far from Sullivan's bakery (right over by Krisy Kreme) and their baked goods are great!
