Bar/Restaurant with Shuffleboard Table?

by JustinHammond » Mon Mar 15, 2010 2:37 pm

I'm looking for a good place to:
1. watch basketball
2. drink good beer
3. eat good food
4. play table top shuffleboard

Does this place exist in Louisville?

Fox and Hound has 3/4, but the food is horrible.

TK's Pub in Fern Creek and R Place Pub in Lyndon. I think both of these places have two. Good bar food and TV's at both spots.

Yo Justin,

If you find a shuffleboard on the east side...I'll play ya. :D

Along the same lines, who (besides BBC) has dart boards and maybe a tournament and/or league thing going ? I'm talkin' REAL darts mind you, not those sissy plastic-tip-put-your-quarter-in-the-slot aberrations.

Once again, 'R Place. Or Mr G's. Those are the only two I can think of in the east end.

Delving deep into the memory banks: Mr. G's is a bar that is sandwiched between (in Louisville direction giving fashion) across from the La Funkadoo apartments, between where the Winn Dixie and Chi-Chi's used to be. I have a red dye colored beer soaked bar towel from the 1986 UL vs Duke NCAA championship dream game in my memory chest that I was chewing/praying into/wrapping around my head/crying into that I got from the bartender during that game. I think now it would be between Fresh Market and where the Buckheads used to be.

Sorry. Edited to say that La Funkadoo was slang for La Fontenay Apts at US 60 & Moser Road.

I am almost positive that the Swan Dive has a shuffleboard table.

And they have good beer, and very good food (all of which happens to be vegetarian though). And I think they have a tv, but I've only been there once so I don't remember it very well... But it meets at least three of your four criteria...

You can check out there website here: http://theswandive.net/
They have the menu and beer list the site.

The Swan Dive shuffleboard is a small one....not the finest....but still fun! Pretty sure they have a tv...

BBC tap room ( I know you said besides BBC,but this is the Tap Room) Clay and Main has a couple of boards with regular dart tournament and/or league players doing the tournament and/or league thing. They do have some darts behind the bar but most of the guys I see bring their own in.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I think Mr. G's is in the shopping center w/ the Fresh Market right behind where Ernestos now is. I couldn't tell you if they have shuffleboard since the one and only time I was ever there I was a little intoxicated
