Easter Sunday falls on April 4 this year, less than a month away, so it's time to open a topic in which restaurateurs, chefs and fans are invited to post special holiday buffets and other dining events at local eateries. I'll stick this topic to the top of the forum until Easter.

As always in these instances, restaurateurs have advance permission to make commercial posts, although we do ask that you just give us the facts and spare us the PR-style superlatives. Let us figure it out for ourselves if yours is the most unique, awesome and spectacular buffet in the history of the world.

April 4 buffet at Napa River Grill offers fresh seafood, salads and breakfast favorites

Celebrate Easter at Napa River Grill at Westport Village. Easter Sunday, April 4, the buffet-style brunch will be available from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The price is $29.95 for adults, $8.95 for children 5-12, and children under 5 eat free. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 502-423-5822.

There will be more than 40 items for guests to enjoy. Included in this year's brunch are eggs Benedict, pancakes, made-to-order omelets, assorted salads and vegetables, a seafood cold bar, decadent house-made desserts and more. House specialties include braised chuck roast, slow-roasted turkey, and grilled salmon.

Winston's at Sullivan University will serve an Easter brunch menu on Sunday, April 4 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Dishes range from $8 to $18. Reservations are strongly suggested;call (502) 456-0980.

Breakfast and lunch items featured on the special Easter menu include Pancakes with Malted Chocolate Egg and Fondant ($11); French Toast with Banana-Marshmallow Pudding and Vanilla Wafer Crust with Whipped Cream ($10); Chef’s Grilled Cheese with Grilled Asparagus Salad ($10); and Lobster Salad with Red Sorrel, Hearts of Palm, Tomato and Saffron Aïoli ($12).

Winston’s Restaurant is a teaching facility for Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies (NCHS). Volare Restaurant will be serving brunch from 11:00am - 3:00pm Easter Sunday.
