The Purpose of a Cocktail

by Stephen D » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:05 am

Here's a recent piece I have written for http://bourbonblog.com that I thought you might find interesting. Designed for professional bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts, of course you know I think it fits here. Enjoy!

Man, I just thought it was to catch a buzz.

Very nice article. I've never really thought about what a bartender goes through when deciding on a drink to serve.

Nice article.

I'll agree to some extent with the "buzz" theory.

Sorry for the long delay in response. I believe I passed the headless chicken a couple days ago!

I really appreciate that you enjoyed the piece. I felt it was an important topic that I hope will inspire personal growth in others and vice-versa. At least, to me it represents a completely new paradigm that only deepens the way that I go about things and I hope will show itself 'in the glass/on the plate.'

I have more of these in the mental incubator and you know you will see them here!
