Captain's Quarters breakfast on Sunday

by Sally M » Sun Mar 07, 2010 5:08 pm

Yikes, a disaster from start to finish - that is the food quality and the service and whatever management was taking place, though it seemed like none.

The booths with that view and catching up with a friend I had not seen in several months salvaged the experience. And the prices were reasonable.

But, yikes. Overall not too good.

Forgive me for not posting a reply to this topic sooner, a fellow follower of the forum texted me tonight and told me there was a comment about Captain's Quarters on the forum.

Sally, I am disappointed that your dining with us was categorized as a "disaster" and I assure you I will look into the service you received on your visit Sunday.
As of 2 months ago we introduced a new brunch menu focusing on ala carte breakfast selections instead of the brunch buffet we have had for numerous years with still being able to order off of our regular menu. We have had alot of mixed responses, but mostly positive with value as you stated but also taste and quantity. We are going to reintroduce our breakfast buffet back in the Spring of this year with some changes.
Once again Sally I am sorry that your experience with us was not up to our standards of great service and well prepared food . The management taking place on your visit was myself and I take great pride with the owners entrusting me with the daily operations of the facility. I was visiting our guests in the dining room all thru brunch service, I wish you would of asked for myself or any manager or our chef to make your visit more of a positive one.
Sally, I am sending you a PM in hopes of returning to visit us so we can make your next visit a memorial one.
I apologize again, Alan

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.
