NABC Pizzeria & Public House back up today ...

by Roger A. Baylor » Sat Mar 06, 2010 11:20 am

... after yesterday's unexpected water utility mayhem.

NABC's Pizzeria & Public House is open from 11:00 a.m. today (Saturday, March 6) for business as usual.

NABC Bank Street Street Brewhouse is hosting a private party for the visiting busload of Hoosier Beer Geeks (Indianapolis) during lunchtime today, and will be open for business at 4:30 p.m.

If you are an employee of Indiana American Water, you'll be charged an additional 300% at both our locations to help begin recouping the money lost owing to your company's incompetence yesterday. Thanks for understanding.

Came for lunch today. Roger, I appreciate the fact that you took the initiative to send someone over to Kroger to stock up on water and sodas in order to continue serving your customers. I also noticed the rather large Rehearsal Dinner party -- hopefully that didn't prove to be too stressful for the staff.

Thanks. We made it through. We were fine so long as no tap water was used without boiling first, seeing as the state of Indiana has a water advisory in such situations, and so does the county health department. Complying wasn't hard on Saturday with a whoel morning to prepare, but on Friday, given that we had no idea when the water would come on until it actually did, Indiana American being woefully deficient in communications and hydrant replacement skills, we just had to close and call the lawyers in.

Yesterday after the rehearsal dinner, a busload of 46 Hoosier Beer Geeks from Indy came in for Gravity Head.

The situation is not without mirth. One of my customer suggested that if the water is cut off again, we could use Bud Light to flush the toilets.
