BBC Clay and Main 5th annual Blessing O the Beer.

by Joel Halblieb » Fri Mar 05, 2010 3:11 pm

Bluegrass Brewing Co. and the Ancient Order of Hibernians present the 5th anniversary of Blessing of the Beer Day. Marked by several proclamations by our Mayor all citizens are urged to observe this day. The AOH will be in full attendance, kilt and all. Hibernians will bring Father Fowler to bless all the batches of Bourbon Barrel Stout. The blessed Stout will then be sent throughout Louisville for consumption.. The Blessing is the beginning of St. Patrick’s celebrations that will end with the St. Patrick's Day Parade March 13. After the ceremony all will be invited back to O'Shea's Irish Pub, 956 Baxter Ave. There we will carry in one of the blessed kegs for all to clean their souls with!
Live Irish music, bag pipers and lots of fun.

Thanks.
