The take out menu from the restaurant side shows they open at ten, not sure if that helps at all. I did notice on my last visit to the Al Watan they offer a gyros reward card. Buy five get one free. Pretty good deal.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I've eaten at the restaurant twice in the past month. The vegetable platter is excellent. The fresh bread is pretty hard to beat, as well.

The restaurant is open 10am - 9pm, I'm pretty sure the bakery is the same but it may open at 9am. Just had a lamb gyro from there earlier, sooooo good.

A 10 AM opening for a bakery? How civilized. When I was growing up, any good bakery in a working class neighborhood was done for the day at 10 AM...sold out  .

Bill all the posts referenced the restaurant hours, only speculated on the bakery hours. Thats the way the bakeries back in our old Chicago neighborhood were as well, sold out before lunch. Are there any places around Louisville that sell out in the morning? Blue dog is often out of baguettes when I go.
