3 Years of the Charlestown Pizza Co.

by John Campbell » Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:23 pm

Charlestown Pizza Company's 3 Year Anniversary and C1 Release Party
Tuesday, March 16, 6:00-11:00 p.m.
850 Main Street, Charlestown, IN 47111

Yes, Charlestown Pizza Co. is 3 years old!

And they've decided to celebrate with beer, but not just any beer - the last keg of C1, the Collaboration Ale from New Albanian, O' Fallon, & Schafly. They tucked away a small keg (1/6 bbl., 5.5 gallons) for the occasion and just when we thought we'd seen the last of it... voila!

Here are their plans so far:

3 beers from the New Albanian Brewing Co. on tap (all specialty beers, continuing the theme of No Repeats on Draft from the New Albanians) and bottles of Schlafly beer.

Desserts galore....expect cakes, cupcakes, cream cheese pies, brownies, rice krispie treats...all made in Charlestown Pizza Co.'s own decadent fashion.

Pizza pairings to celebrate the last keg of C1 and their connection to the New Albanian Brewing Co.

Give-aways all night...shirts, beers, and other fun stuff. Scott Shreffler from Schlafly and the Gang from New Albanian Brewing Co. will be there to shake hands and kiss babies.

Shawn and Tajana might even may dip into the cellar and pull out a few rare beers to help celebrate.
They welcome any and all pizza and beer pairing suggestions here or on their Facebook page.

Help us help them have a fantastic Birthday Party!

Many thanks to John Campbell for posting our info and many thanks to Robin for allowing us to celebrate here :D

We've got some fun times planned for the 16th

First
Four Beers on tap from the NABC

C1- the collaboration ale from NABC, Schafly, & O'Fallon - :!: $3 American Pints

The Replic Ale (which NABC debuted at the Winter Beer Fest in Indianapolis, something about coffee & porter i believe)
AND
2 other NABC offerings which we have never poured before

These 3 NABC beers will only be $2...yes indeed TWO BUCKS for beers from our forefathers......we celebrate our New Albanian heritage and you get to reap the benefit

Second 8)

Barbeque Pulled Pork Pizza will be on the menu
The Beer Cheese will be made with NABC beer
Decadent Brownies, Cream Cheese Pies, and Rice Krispie Treats infused with other various goodies
Cakes and cupcakes

and last but not least :D

We'll be giving away lots of fun things during the evening (beers, gift baskets, shirts, glassware, etc)

This is the night where we would like to show all of our fans, friends, and customers how much we appreciate each and every one of you pizza and beer lovers.

thanks again
Shawn

(and if the need arises we will provide designated drivers)

Shawn,

Congratulations to you and Tajana on 3 years. You all have shushed a lot of doubters and have done a fantastic job with your business. Here's hoping for another 3 years and a heck of a lot more after that!

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

David, of course the rice krispie treats are made with real butter and we tend to add things to our desserts - like Reese's Cups to the brownies, Fruity Pebbles & Skittles in the Rice Krispie Treats, or Oreo Cookies in the cream cheese pie.

The best Rice Krispies Treat was the one I had that was infused with Butterfinger...OMG. I've been meaning to try it at home but haven't picked up any Butterfingers yet. Although I might have to make some regular Rice Krispies Treats today now...

made a small batch using the Moaten from Two Brothers, needs to be sweeter and a beer with a stronger flavor might be better, porter or stout maybe

If you want sweeter without any kind of fruity flavor, a Belgian Triple like Tripel Karmeliet or Kasteel Tripel would work. For something a little darker, Gouden Carolus Classic or Kasteel Donker might fit the bill too.
