Searching for smoked chicken wings

by Adam C » Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:31 pm

My father and I have become quite the connoisseurs of chicken wings lately especially after watching this:

But I have always wanted to try some good smoked wings.. Does anyone know of a place that makes them? Thanks!

I think I had them at Bootleg BBQ and I've seen them on special at O' Sheas.

Bootleg BBQ does have them, but you have to call 3 hours in advance to get them. I haven't had them, but have seen orders for other people. They look tasty.

If you have a charcoal grill that is the easiest way to get a good charcoal smoke flavor, I love wings on a charcoal grill. Cook them with indirect heat.

Never been but this Rooties says their charcoal wings are good:

Yeah I plan on smoking a ton of wings for Derby Eve this year but I don't have the means to get it going like, tomorrow. Rooties, huh? I will investigate. Getting my dad out to new places is tough but I am hoping that luring him with wings will get him out of his usual lunch spot. Cheers!

My Aunt Lynn at Smoketown U.S.A. would probably be happy to smoke some wings for you. You'll have to provide the wings, call ahead, and ask of course.

There is no place in town like Rooties! Burgers aren't bad either, but normally I just get 10 of their house special bbq wings and dive in.

I can't find the post, but I recall the gentleman who owns FABD said he will smoke just about anything for anyone. I'd give him a call.
