Downtown Bristol's new Bloody Mary bar starts w/a benefit

by Robin Garr » Tue Feb 16, 2010 6:46 pm

Seviche has been doing this for a while. Kudos to the Downtown Bristol for borrowing a nice concept - and opening it with a charitable touch.

The Downtown Bristol Bar and Grille Kicks off New Bloody Mary Bar With Fundraiser for Young Musicians

The downtown Bristol Bar and Grille will introduce a Bloody Mary Bar on Saturday, Feb. 20; the weekend feature will continue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays, only at the Main Street location.

Guests are served a 2-ounce glass of their vodka of choice (From $5.50 to $8 for premium spirits), and a may build their own cocktail from such ingredients as house made mix, fresh horseradish and garnishes including carrots, celery, stuffed olives and pickled fare. The Bloody Mary Bar is an addition to the Downtown Bristol’s lunch menu and Sunday brunch buffet.

During the bar’s introductory weekend (Feb. 20 and 21), purchases will help support the Vincent Nold Musicians Wish Fund, a charity that supports young aspiring musicians by providing instruments and education. The Vincent Nold Musicians Wish Fund was established in memory of a young musician who died in January. He was 15.

Not to mention Bank Street Brewhouse. We've been running a Bloody Mary bar on Sunday since last summer.

Noted! Kevin G did the LEO/LHB review for me, but Mary and I still need to get over there for pure enjoyment.
