chillin & not grillin

This extended cold spell has me thinking about baby back ribs.
Suggestions where to get some in River City Metro ?
Take away or dine in.

Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot (FABD) has splendid ribs, although I can't recall if they're baby backs. It's not the greatest atmosphere unless you like dark dive style (although at least it has improved with the no-smoking law), but the barbecue is outstanding, among the best in the city.

Here's my May 2007 review of them and a couple of other places - note that Smoketown has discontinued the Mexican fare since then, and I have no idea if the West End place is still around. But FABD for takeout and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks Robin for the Smoketown USA reminder. I see on their menu they smoke salmon & tuna too.

FABD is always a good choice. Not sure if they do Baby back ribs.
A phone call is in order.

What about the cycle shop @ Grinstead & Lexington RD ?

We checked it out once, when it first opened, and it seemed nice enough, but at the time it didn't have anything but sandwiches. If it has ribs now, I need to go back!
