Frozen Yogurt in or near Louisville?

by Chris Lindy » Sun Feb 07, 2010 9:18 am

My pregnant wife has been having a craving of late for forzen yogurt, specifically a twist of strawberry and chocolate. We tried tracking down somewhere local to squelch her craving, but discovered that all the local TCBY's are out of business and there isn't anything we know of beyond that.

Of course, that's where the brilliant minds of the Hotbytes community come in. There has to be somewhere to get frozen yogurt in a reasonable driving range (closest TCBY was in Cincinnati). We found Cefiore, but the number listed on the corporate website is someone's home phone. Does anyone know if this place is still open? Are there other froyo options in Louisville or nearby cities?

CeFiore is still open (at least the last time I passed by it last week), it may not meet her chocolate/strawberry twist, but having fresh strawberries in it may be better! Not soft serve, but there is several brands of frozen yogurt in most groceries.

Try Ce Fiore. It's at Eastern Pkwy and Bardstown Rd. ...the little gummy marshmallow toppings are the bomb.

Baskin-Robbins has actual frozen yogurt, and there are still a couple of them (one is in shopping center at 9413 Westport Road, near the corner of Westport & Hurstbourne).

While Ce Fiore is very similar, it isn't "true" frozen yogurt; frozen custard has a very different mouth feel & taste than frozen yogurt. Either of those may satisfy her, but to be on the safe side I'd hit Baskin-Robbins.
