O'Shea's Public House on Main

by Ward Wilson » Tue Feb 02, 2010 3:21 pm

Anyone know about this place in the Whiskey Row/Iron Quarter (between 1st and 2nd)? It's under construction, but looks close to opening. Same owners as O'Shea's/Flanagans?

Ashley, you here? I remember chatting with you about the opening date, but I forgot when you said it might be. All of us are looking forward to the latest addition. It will put me within about 6 miles biking range from my home in NA.

If they are still on schedule, they are set to soft open this Thursday or Friday, I believe. Then, I would imagine, they're open to the public after that. Can't wait. Looks like its going to be quite the place.

The news had a small piece on it tonight. They are opening soon and have put around 4 million into the building.

This place has "home" written all over it. Can't WAIT to claim a booth some Friday night.

It is hard to believe. I don't know if that included the price of the real estate or just the remodeling.

Here is the news article.

We're looking at a little more than $4.5 million for the entire project," says O'Shea's event coordinator Ginny Pittenger.

Looking at the impressive pictures from the link Justin provided, take a look at the one titled "2nd Floor Balcony". With the new arena in your backyard it shouldn't be too hard to sell "a lotta pints"!
Great to see that section of Main coming back to life.

Depends, but the good stuff runs around $5.

Is that considered expensive?! I have never questioned paying $5 for a good draft beer. How much should one expect to pay?
