I'm still contemplating my best snack, but I can definitely tell you my worst.
After a 20ish hour plane ride to New Zealand, our bus driver (who we stopped trusting for food recommendations shortly hereafter) stopped at this diner/truck stop on the way to our hotels.
I had the misfortune of trying an awful British culinary invention known as "fried lasagna." It really didn't resemble lasagna so much as a soggy, greasy, breaded pile of ground beef and thin sauce that had been deep fried and kept under a heat lamp. There was some sausage dish that was equally disgusting. At that point I was longing for the airplane food.
