64 coming in from Shelby co. was great. However, I tried to go to the gas station off Shelbyville Road in Simpsonville and my car wouldn't stop..I just slid right on by!

For the last few days I have been watching a system that will make its way in here by Fri-Sat. The models are all over the place with this, but it has the potential to drop some real snow here, like 8+ inches. My gut feeling is that we will probably just get a couple of inches, but it will be interesting to see what really happens.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Walking to work took almost six minutes instead of the usual four, it was rough.

That being said, we had our medical assistant get into an accident on her drive in this morning, and one of the therapists and paralegal got tagged while driving to get some lunch.

I made the mistake of trying to come down Lexington Road/Cochran Hill this morning....OY VEY.

Wreck blocking the west bound lanes, routing traffic to the east bound lanes (one lane each)....and a panel van off the side of the road, aiming down the hill toward the big tudor house in the gully by the park entrance....I know the homeowner is glad that there was a tree big enough to stop that van or it would have wound up in the homes living room.

Thursday night/Friday morning are going to be fun, from what I'm gleening from the weather gerbals...but one must remember, this is the Ohio Valley, and the weather changes on it own whim!

One inch of snow......c'mon folks. Use common sense. Reduce your speeds, don't slam on the brakes, and you'll be fine.

Make sure to wear your seatbelts (you always should), in case some other bozo hits you....

They (National Weather Service) still have us at fifty percent for precipitation thurs/fri, so probably no huge storm (though yes, things do change)....

More sledding would be nice on Saturday. In the park, not in your car.

Man, somma ya'll need to get a grip on this driving stuff. After experiencing 18 Minnesota winters, here's some free advice....if it's snowing, slowwww the heck down. If it's icy, don't goooooo. It ain't worth it...no matter what "it" is.

It took Becky over an hour to make the 20 min. commute down I-71 today. I asked her if the roads were bad and she said "no, not really...just a bunch of goofy people who were in a big hurry wrecking people who weren't".

I'm so glad the state turned over the maintenance of the main roads to better government! They're so much better than the state did. They only brined the bridges and overpasses and didn't worry about the roads! I guess they want to pocket as much money as possible out of the deal.

Best advice I heard for driving in the snow...

If you are going to earn more than your insurance deductible by driving, then by all means go. Otherwise, stay at home.

Ohhhhh Cart Wheelin' Christ...The updated forecast calls for two to four inches of snow in the metro on Friday. Quick !!! Milk and Bread !!! Fill the car up with gas !!! Get the snow shovels out !!! OR ya could just plan on staying the heck at home and spending the day Chillaxin' on Friday. Give that Wii game a good workout, read a book, take your Saturday bath on Friday. The possibilities are endless, just like that string of accidents that you know will greet you on the interstates.

It was not the snow. It was the 2 inches of ice + covering some roads causing people to go nuts. And, I don't blame them; it was nasty. I was out it it for over two hours before deciding to head back home. This was only trying to get from Fern Creek to J-Town.
