Where to watch the games?

by Dan Thomas » Sun Jan 24, 2010 1:20 pm

After lunch, Colleen is going into work today which leaves me up to my own devices. I was considering going out to watch today's NFC/AFC Championship games. Bank St. Brewhouse popped to the top of my list but I think they only have one TV and I'm not sure if they are open on Sunday. Any other recommendations?

Dan,

The New Direction at 146 and the Gene Snyder is a good place...It's "old school". They've got lots of TV's and do a middling good burger and a finnnnnne Perch sammich.

Rooties on Westport is also a good place. Can't beat the wings. MOF, we might end up at Rooties for at least a half of the Indy game. If you make it out that way, let me know...I've got your BBQ sauce in the car.

We could do that...I think there is still a little beer in the keg (can't remember if it blew last night or not).

Just wishful thinking on my part, laddie. It's my weekend off, Amy BK has taken the boys to the UL game and I have "chores" to do.

OK...it's "official"...Becky sez we're going to Rooties for wings and a little footbawl. Probably get there at or a bit after the 3pm kickoff. I'll be the one with the Cleveland Browns sweatshirt on :?

Bummer :( I'm headed in the other direction today. Stopping at Wick's on Baxter to take care of the last fantasy football business before heading over to Colt's territory at Bank St. We'll get together soon.

I miss referees and officials who know how to call a game. Officiating for THIS game was a travesty.

I have not seen so many dirty plays in a pro game for a long time. I wish there was some way the league could fine the team and the players.

I don't mean to sound like a disgruntled Vikings fan. I noticed the dirty plays in the Cardinals/Saints game last week, too.

After watching how the Saints treated Favre, I wonder if he has given up being a Saints fan?
