Shady Lane Cafe

by Bill Veneman » Sun Jan 24, 2010 11:58 am

This has been one those weekend when I've wanted to do fun stuff, along with the chores (laundry and taxes  ), so on the way to Kroger, we ran by to see the Smith's at Shady Lane.

As always, we were greeted like long lost family, a handshake from Bill and a hug from Suzanne, and discovered that the Vermillions were dining there for a late lunch as well.......always nice to run into old friends.

Anyway, I must agree, as usual, that they have the best burger in town....as well Ed and company will again profess I'm sure as each of them had their own version. Alan had the fried fish lunch (2 very good sized filets, coleslaw, and tarter).

For all my friends on here, if you haven't been, GO! Good food, very reasonable prices, and wonderful people.....foodie paridise!
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Good to see you and Alan yesterday, Bill! Best burger in town, IMO, and always like dining with family. We had our adopted daughter and son-in-law with us yesterday, sorry we couldn't chat more. They had never experienced burger valhalla and it was a treat to walk them through the pearly gates. :D
